North Goa Panaji Smart City work may miss May 31 deadline

According to IPSCDL, the cumulative target for the completion of all road works and making them functional is May 31, still this particular stretch may take a little longer to be completed.

IPSCDL is currently causing obstacles for the smart road project that runs from Caculo Mall to Tonca City STP. Despite the 300-meter main trunk pipeline being installed successfully, difficulties arising from the completion of the 130-meter stretch cast doubt on the feasibility of meeting the May 31 deadline. Due to practical constraints, IPSCDL may choose not to proceed with this portion of the project.

IPSCDL is closely observing the ongoing sewerage activities, even scheduled hourly, with an emphasis on monitoring to adhere to the timeline and overcome obstacles while maintaining steady progress on the project pace as the seconds tick down. An hour is going to pass.

Nevertheless, a lot of progress has been made in another field. The sector from Four Pillar Junction to the Old Patto Bridge has been a roaring success story, with all the major sewerage work done. A dense and well-developed infrastructure network of 1,400 m of pipeline, 40 utility holes, and 80 house connection chambers is proof of the successful execution of the project by the planners.

The process of revitalizing Panaji's inner city still faces experiments despite these accomplishments already being attained. The ongoing efforts to restore roads have made the project more complex. The meeting of different tasks shows that urban development projects are complex because they need to be well organized and have resources.

The stakeholders are addressing the issues at hand during this time, but the goal of creating a more intelligent and sustainable Panaji remains unchanged. Each step taken and the obstacles surmounted are bringing the city closer to the vision of becoming a model for urban innovation and resilience. Facing difficulties, determination, and adaptability go a long way, and the way forward is paved through it, thus making the journey toward a smarter Panaji continuous and uninterrupted.
